Wow- I've never read insights on Mormonism from a person who actually *was* a Mormon. Thanks for sharing. But more than that, thanks for opening your soul to us. I have been blessed.

(sure you don't want to transfer to Mary Washington? hehe) ;)

Pax rob+Padre Rob+https://www.blogger.com/profile/13077275225848119534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669894630443780360.post-27933782837558820412007-07-26T12:03:00.000-07:002007-07-26T12:03:00.000-07:00Welcome to the Episcopal Church! I was raised NW Conservative Baptist (and people call Episcopalians the Frozen Chosen!) but I was an Anglophile and that sort of helped push me towards Anglicanism. That and the BCP and oh yeah, female clergy.

That is a cool certificate. My baptismal one is not as cool, but I have a neat little confirmation one that I do need to get framed. Maybe I'll post an image of it on my blog someday soon. My confirmation anniversary does draw near.

In my opinion LDS theology is different enough that they can't be considered Christians as the Church Catholic (the whole body of Christ) defines the term. I've known a few LDS types who get hot and bothered if one suggests otherwise.

(PS I saw your blog link in the blogging elsewhere thread in a MySpace group we're both in.)writing_herehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00585405534414269361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669894630443780360.post-81883606693712545392007-07-22T09:56:00.000-07:002007-07-22T09:56:00.000-07:00eric, this is such a wonderful post. so heartfelt...eric, this is such a wonderful post. so heartfelt and beautiful. thank you thank you for sharing this bit of your story with all. it is amazing to watch the man you are becoming.tamie mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10273116686980623819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669894630443780360.post-64777905148716994552007-07-21T20:46:00.000-07:002007-07-21T20:46:00.000-07:00I have to say that the BBC show "The Vicar of Dibl...I have to say that the BBC show "The Vicar of Dibley" spoke to me early on my road to the Episcopal Church. You've made such progress. Your ability to introspect and research is amazing. Especially having parental-familial ties to LDS must've weighed heavily on your heart. But, glory to God! Here you are, in one piece, safe and affirmed! The Anglican Tradition must be very glad to have you on their side.+JN1034https://www.blogger.com/profile/09266392586539847491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6669894630443780360.post-54748791057664835902007-07-21T13:30:00.000-07:002007-07-21T13:30:00.000-07:00Hey Eric, it's me Josh. I didn't even bother to frame it, so it's tucked away in my impeccably organised closet back home.Joshua Migallos Liganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17188780650241109715noreply@blogger.com
