This Saturday I went with some folks from church to visit St. Anthony's Orthodox monastery. It's a beautiful campus, situated eight miles outside of Florence, AZ. Florence is a tiny town about 40 miles southeast of Phoenix.

However, a desert monastery surrounded by palm trees is nearly an oxymoron!

I'm glad you got to go to the monastery and I am curious about your experience there. I use to live in Vegas and know people who go there frequently.
