- Χριστός ανέστη εκ νεκρών,
- θανάτω θάνατον πατήσας,
- και τοις εν τοις μνήμασι,
- ζωὴν χαρισάμενος!
- Christ is risen from the dead,
- Trampling down death by death,
- And upon those in the tombs
- Bestowing life!
